AVA™

20 October 2026 · John Stroh, Director, My Digital Sovereignty Ltd

What it is

AVA (AI Visibility Auditor) finds out what AI assistants say about an organisation. It asks the questions the organisation's customers would ask, writes down each answer word for word with the assistant's name and the time, and compares it with what the organisation's own website says. Where an assistant says something the website contradicts, that gap is the finding.

A run can be sealed: locked with a digital signature and a time-stamp from an outside authority, so any later change shows up and a third party can check it.

Who it is for

  • Public bodies, regulated firms, professional services and community organisations whose governance, risk or compliance lead has to show a board, client or regulator what was true and when.
  • Any organisation whose customers now ask an AI before they visit a website, and whose leaders say things like: "What is it telling people about us?" and "Can I prove what it said last quarter?"
  • It is not aimed at marketing teams wanting a score on a dashboard. The value is the record.
  • Iwi, hapū, marae, rūnanga and other Māori organisations are approached by MDSL directly, not through distributors.

What a customer gets today

Item Status In plain words
Website crawl Available on request Every page is fetched and logged, so the customer sees whether AI crawlers can read the site
Asking real AI assistants (the assistants used are recorded with each run) Available on request Answers are recorded as given, not estimated
Answer-versus-website comparison, with findings and draft fixes Available on request The gaps between what AI says and what the site says
Sealing a run (fingerprint, signature, time-stamp from an outside authority) Built, available on request; tested on a real site; not yet used on a customer run It has run once from start to finish in testing. No paying customer has had a run sealed
Offline check of a sealed run by an outsider Built, available on request; applies once a run is sealed, which has not yet been done for a customer Someone can check it with a checking tool, without going through MDSL
Qualified EU time-stamp (under the EU's legal standard for time-stamps, eIDAS) Available on request, opt-in; switched on per customer because each stamp is priced (NZ$5 per stamp) Contracted, and tested against the provider's live endpoint
Self-hosted install kit Built; issued by MDSL on request Crawling runs from the customer's own network; not a public download
Official pass/fail judgements against a policy Not built Anything the tool suggests is labelled "not an official ruling"
Interface in te reo Māori, German, French, Dutch Not built The language menu shows these, but the pages are in English only for now

Published pricing

From the AVA pricing page:

  • NZ$263 per project per month, for ongoing tracking
  • NZ$526 for a one-off run.
  • NZ$5 per qualified (eIDAS) time-stamp, optional, on top of either plan

Available on request, and MDSL quotes no price beyond these figures.

How to introduce it

Governance, risk or compliance lead

  1. "Do you know what ChatGPT says about your organisation when someone asks?"
  2. "If a board member asked what an AI said about you last quarter, could you show them?"
  3. "Would it help to have a dated record that someone outside your organisation can check?"

Communications or web lead

  1. "When people ask an AI about you, does the answer match your website?"
  2. "Can the AI tools actually read your site, or are they being blocked?"
  3. "Where an answer is wrong, would a list of exactly which claim and which page help you fix it?"

What to say and what not to say

A distributor works to the same wording. MDSL describes AVA as evidence: it does not prevent anything. It records what was said and when. Status is described from the table: available on request, built, planned or not built; "live" is used only for what a customer uses in production.

The questions are put to AI assistants mostly run by US companies (OpenAI, Perplexity, Anthropic), so the measurement is not sovereign. Only the record is kept in New Zealand or the EU. AVA's own FAQ says the same.

MDSL does not use these words about any product: tamper-proof, court-defensible, legally admissible, compliant, certified, immutable, safe. MDSL describes sealing for a customer only once it has happened, and does not say the interface works in te reo Māori, German, French or Dutch. A price other than the three above is not quoted, and available on request only. Any absolute term needs approved wording from MDSL first.

What we provide you

  • The published pricing page and FAQ to hand to a customer
  • Direct contact with John Stroh for any question you cannot answer, so you never have to guess
  • Customer access, when we agree it, through a one-time invitation token issued by John Stroh for a single URL

Next step

The next step is for the distributor to name the customers they have in mind and which of the two customer types they are; John Stroh then confirms what can be shown to them and issues any invitation himself. The subscription itself is between the customer and MDSL.

Nothing in this note is an offer, and no exclusivity, territory or margin is agreed or implied by it. Any arrangement today is with MDSL. If MIO is formed, it may later be assigned to MIO, and the terms would say so. Prices are those on the published pricing page; quote no other.
