Attested Accounts™

What it is
Attested Accounts is a record layer for the invoices, quotes, recurring invoices, expenses and time entries a small business already keeps. Each change is signed when it happens ("sealed" in our pages means locked with a digital signature and a time-stamp from an outside authority, so any later change shows up), so someone who does not trust the business or us can check later what the record said and what was done to it. It sits alongside your accounting, not in place of it: it is not an accounting system, an audit opinion or accounting advice.
Who it is for
- Accountants and bookkeepers responsible for client records they did not create. In their words: "If a client, lender or the IRD asks what this looked like in March and who touched it, what do I show them?"
- Small businesses, charities, incorporated societies and trusts who need to explain a record's history later.
- Anyone starting to use AI tools for bookkeeping or invoice processing, where "who or what changed this" gets harder to answer.
What a customer gets today
Running now:
- Every write to invoices, quotes, recurring invoices, expenses and time entries is signed.
- From 24 September 2026, new entries are also hash-linked, so a deleted or reordered entry can be detected. Earlier entries are not linked.
- On an invoice: a history view and a downloadable bundle a third party can check offline. Quotes, expenses and time entries do not yet have these.
- Data-erasure requests report which finance records are held under retention rather than skipping them.
Available on request, opt-in: a receipt for one invoice with a time-stamp from an outside authority that meets the EU's legal standard for time-stamps (eIDAS). It is switched on per customer because each receipt is priced (NZ$114 per 100 receipts).
It records each change to an entry as it happens, and bookkeeping itself stays with the accounting system and the accountant. Receipts are issued one invoice at a time (status page, ACC-08). For a practice, today's route is one client's Business Village at a time; a practice console is not built; it is held until a client-access rule and practice pricing are decided.
Published pricing
From accounts.amiomega.digital/pricing:
- Two published prices apply: NZ$263 per Village per month on the Attested Accounts page, and NZ$114 per month for the Business tier on the Village™ price list.
- NZ$114 per pack of 100 Qualified Receipts.
Distributors do not quote a distributor or practice rate (none has been published) and do not promise included monthly receipts or batch receipts; neither is available yet.
How to introduce it
- "When a client's records are questioned, what can you show that does not depend on your own say-so?"
- "Do your clients use any AI tools on their books yet? If something changed, could you tell who or what did it?"
- "Would it help if a lender or reviewer could check a record's history themselves, offline?"
What to say and what never to say
A distributor works to the same wording. MDSL describes it this way: the record is signed when written; a deleted or reordered entry in the middle of a history is detectable, for entries written from 24 September 2026; a third party can check it offline; held in New Zealand or the EU; access is arranged directly with us.
MDSL does not use these words about any product: tamper-proof, compliant, certified, court-defensible, legally admissible. MDSL does not say it proves a figure is correct, complete or lawful, or that it replaces the accounting system, the accountant or an audit, and says nothing about retention periods or legislation. Any absolute term needs approved wording from MDSL first.
What we provide you
The public pages (How it works, Questions, Pricing, About), the verification tool a client's reviewer can run, and direct answers from us. Distributor terms are agreed with MDSL directly; there is no wholesale rate and no portal. Distributor provisioning of client Villages for Attested Accounts is off by design; a distributor never sees finance records.
Next step
The next step is for the distributor to name the client and the question they are asking; we then arrange access directly and scope it before any work begins. The subscription itself is between the customer and MDSL.
Nothing in this note is an offer, and no exclusivity, territory or margin is agreed or implied by it. Any arrangement today is with MDSL. If MIO is formed, it may later be assigned to MIO, and the terms would say so. Prices are those on the published pricing page; quote no other.
